I Have an 8 year old Comet. The past week my fish has been spending more time on the bottom of the tank. I’ve checked for Ick…I don’t feel that is the problem. Seabiscut isn’t interested in much a the moment. He looks like he is in pain when he poops. 9 inch comet in a 20 gal tank. Help Please!!!

It sounds suspiciously like Seabiscuit MAY be afflicted with an intestinal parasite. That is, IF when he poops (or at any given time now) there appear to be long, stringy protrusions from the anal vent. Have you introduced ANYTHING new in your tank? How about how his scales look; if they are “pinecone-like” and raised, if his color is off, if he is at the bottom frequently and lethargic, dropsy could be another culprit. Also, is Seabiscuit the only resident of your 20-gal? If he has tank mates, it could simply be an overcrowding issue, though, your other fish would be like to show similar signs of illness by now. If none of this is happening, opt for a simple water test; ammonia is a fiery thing!

The cap fell off the fish food and poured into the tank !! We clean it out but 1 of the goldfish doesn`t look too good. What can we we do ??

hi
my name is vivek, my goldfish seems to have red fins and the dont tend to swim very well, how do i cure it and how do i fix the ph level of the water since i feel its very high

why does my tank keep clouding up? I have changed the water and tried varios things but it turns cloudy right away.
